Nice Northfield, Steve!!!

I finally found my old curved Russell, and thought I'd do an old-to-new comparo!! An old Russell, to the inspired custom by Evan Nicolaides!!
These pics show off the wear on the older knife, but I love them both as-is!! And I like Jeff's label of "trailing-point skinner"!!!

While digging for my old Russell in the Barlow drawer, sitting next to it, partly hiding it, was this Sheepfoot TC, in Palo Santo wood from 2015!!! So I took it out also, to oil and wipe it, and Holy Smoke, that wood is hard!! It feels like polished Jade!!! So smooth I cannot feel the grain anywhere - it is like polished rock!! With that greenish cast, it is quite attractive also!! A pocket gem!!!
