Yeah so basically whenever I'm outdoors I carry a Leatherman Wave in a nylon sheath.

Wgats your overall opinion on this version? I’ve been lusting after one fir a while now. Just sold off 4 other Leathermans to fund one of these but am concerned that I won’t be impressed.

My apologies M Mr. Tettnanger for not responding sooner, I overlooked your post; my bad.

I have a penchant for orange knife scales, if only to brighten my day. The Cabelas orange G10 version is quite spendy, yet one only lives once. REI has the same model with red G10 handles for 20 bucks less, they are also quite nice. Both feel rock solid, albeit I still carry my old Wave a lot. I think you would like the orange G10.

Just got the new leatherma Bond in and I quite like it so far.

I hate the thought of potentially retiring my trusty Fuse, but it's getting near that point and the bond just may be a suitable replacement.


It has the same classic essential toolset as the PST, but of course greatly improved more recent versions.
The awl on the PST certainly never impressed me.

It's my first nylon sheath from leatherman and I love it.
I thought I wouldn't because I'm used to the leather sheath from my fuse and I'm so used to nylon sheaths having hateful velcro, but I was pleasantly surprised to see that it didn't.

Btw you can apparently get a pocket clip from leatherman for it. It uses the same clip from those fancy models with the magnets in them.

After months of Zooming in for Sunday morning church service, I actually attended in person today. The single-serve communion packaging proved too much for my bare hands, requiring that I cut my way in with my Leatherman.

No, I didn't take the photo during the service but, instead, I reenacted my dilemma afterwards. It's not the first time (and certainly not the last) that I have needed a multitool during church. Happy Sunday! T-A

The blade being your Leatherman (although in the passage it's referring to wheat); fruit being communion; and tares being the inconvenience.

Carrying my Squirt PS4 today as ”big town carry” doing some shopping. Good for situations if you need to try some clothes on etc and not worry to drop huge knaf on floor and causing akward situations! I used the scissors for cutting the price tag.
