I went back to the shop and tried to put a nail on a board to hold the piece while I was drilling - that was a security measure due to what happened yesterday. Hammered it two or three times and then hammered straight on my left thumb!

Buddy it's sounds like you need some time off. I get that way and need to just stay away from it for a day or so. I work my regular job six nites a week and do knife work almost everyday. Sometimes it gets to overwhelming and I need a break. Be careful.

Scott: yes, possibly it was a problem of concentration. To day I worked a lot a a friend´s shop in São Paulo - from where I am posting this now - and everything flowed like it should.
