What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

Thanks!
Sadly, they both walk ‘n talk, and snap better than do I.

Well, my joints snap…
Creak, pop and make other strange sounds??
I know the feeling and sounds
Took the day off to spend the morning with my youngest ‘SJ’ on her birthday (now 4!). Breakfast at a diner at the old neighborhood that I hadn’t been to in about a decade.

Been carrying the cattle knife since Monday; it may stay in the pocket this whole week. With this amazing slip by @sbh06 to carry it, how can I not?

Happy Birthday to SJ.
An awesome way to spend a day

Special times...dad and daughter. So nice that you got to share a morning, especially on SJ's b-day.
Great cattle knife and sheath.

that's a cool pic
Thank you, Jack. :)
Love that photo and the lamb looks great
Thank you, Todd. :)
Always good to see old faithful!
Thank you, David. :)

I guess it's almost ice fishing season on the lake.

Me too Barrett :) Despite what Google may say though, that's actually the back wall of the old Cossack pub, rather than The Howard, a little further down the road (Howard Street). It was a terrible shame that the mural was vandalised like that, and for no reason I can see (Harry Brearley was an absolute diamond) :( Here the mural is with one of my few stainless Lambsfoot knives, by Stan Shaw :)

And freshly painted in 2013

You’re the expert, of course, but when you follow Google street view around to the front of that building, it says “The Howard.”

I looked up The Cossack to see what I could find. Some colorful history there. More recently, what I found was that it was shut down in 2003 and demolished in 2008 (those dates certainly aren’t from an academic source, so don’t quote me on their accuracy).

Based on this old photo, though, I think it’s safe to say that The Cossack and the building next to it (Kaye’s, in this photo at least) were indeed demolished at some point prior to the painting of that mural, and that the space they used to occupy is now the green space in your photo there, and that the mural was painted on the larger wall seen here beyond those two buildings.

Barret, vendors at the Blade Show never forget the guy who whipped out a big ‘ol wad of hundred dollar bills. 😎

Well that vendor needs to get his eyes checked. Those were tens, and I think some ones. 😁

🤣 That was fun!

Today I'm carrying this year's forum knife. The pile side has some flaws in the bone where a few spots in the jigging broke off. I love it & think it's an improvement. 👍

It was indeed. I first stumbled upon that thread several months after April 1st, so I fell for it hook, line and sinker. 🤣

I’ve had a couple jigged bone GECs do that before, where the bone sort of splinters in places. Pocket time clears it up pretty well.
