What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

Day 5 for me carrying different vintage Jacks from my collection. In my pocket today is a Schrade-Walden 294 Trapper Jack (Dogleg Jack) in very light colored peachseed bone, gifted to me by a kind Blade Forums porch dweller a number of years ago. Shown with a couple of local baseball hero's from my junior high and high school days. OH

:thumbsup:I really like those 294s! They sure don’t surface very often. Very useful blade combination packed in the 293 frame, which is my favorite Schrade handle.

Enjoying this (new to me) guy today. The pull on this one is substantial and I love it. By far the strongest pull of any GEC I own.

Have a blessed day porch members!

That one is a beauty, probably my favorite of the 93 pattern. My normal traditional carry is the oily creek bone 93.

Precious pair of lambs, John! :cool::cool::thumbsup:

Gotta get me a Pioneer with scissors; yours is aces, Bill! :thumbsup::cool::cool:

Your black/red combo are champs, Steve! :cool::thumbsup::cool:

Agree! :thumbsup::thumbsup::cool: The navy blue bone with red shield is an outstanding "look"; I didn't realize they did a Copperlock like that! (I already have a Canoe and a Tribal Lock with those covers on my list.)

Congrats on the nice job you've done on refurbishing this scout knife (and the Cub Scout knife you posted previously)!! :cool::thumbsup::thumbsup:

Marvelous moose! :thumbsup::cool::thumbsup:

Thanks, Dean. :)

Phenomenal pair, Harry! :cool::cool::thumbsup:
"They don't know how lucky they are. They could have ran into that tree ..."

Cool couple, Stuart, including Mako the Knife! :thumbsup::cool::cool:

Thanks for the props to my stag senator, Harvey. :)
If you're not gonna drink much, you should choose something good; I think you chose wisely! ;):thumbsup::thumbsup:

Yet another notable pair, JJ! :cool::thumbsup::cool: Do both knives have an EO notch?

Thanks for the comments, Jack. :):cool::thumbsup:
Nice trio you've selected; the acrylic on the GEC #85 is special! :thumbsup::thumbsup::cool:
I hope the back responds soon to whatever treatments you're trying!

That's certainly a beauty, José! :cool::thumbsup::thumbsup: I think I prefer the stag handle and the little man with the cane on the blade of the other knife. (I also very much like that whale-shaped knife you have, but I don't remember if it's Portuguese. ;):cool::cool:)

I had forgotten about that strange possession of yours! :thumbsup::cool::cool:

:D:thumbsup::thumbsup::D

Not what I'd have guessed, but I LIKE it! :p:thumbsup::thumbsup:

Charismatic covers, Steve! :cool::thumbsup::cool:

Hi GT, Love my Pioneer X and got a modded Compact (now I have to repair it because I got ham fisted with it :() that has full sized scissors. Just 2 layers and with all titanium scales, liners, and screws. Thinner and slightly shorter profile from the Pioneer X so it's great for "dress casual" and the for those heavy duty out doors occasions the X gets the nod. But overall, my X is very hard to beat and it's corrosion free.:thumbsup:

thanks! I always get stuck between loving Tidioute blades and Northfield covers. Loved this one for the Autumn jigged bone and the Ram. We’ll see if this one can replace the 86 for the most pocket time.

Now I’m hungry and Jealous Harvey! :thumbsup: Fantastic choices my friend! :D

Miss Norma wanted a fire in the fire pit on the back upper deck tonight, so I kept stacking wood with my tote today. Mahogany on walnut.

Love that photo Stuart! :thumbsup: You’ll be okay if you just keep Miss Norma happy! :D

These are getting to be somewhat of a habit for me .

My wife was cleaning photos off of her phone and she sent me a photo that she took for me last year while in Tennessee .

Then my Son was just doing his job of checking up on us :

Harry
I’m doing okay too! How are you doing! :eek: That’s a good one Harry! You must be getting just a little bored buddy, but you’re still toting some fine knives! :thumbsup: :D

Thank you, Ron. The Redmeadow is a lot of knife in a pretty lightweight package. I got it used and the maker was able to clean it up some for me - it is making for a terrific everyday user.

I love that Osage 47, what a treat! I've been thinking about the 47 for quite some time now and have been hoping that GEC would do another run at some point, I'd love to compare them a bit to the 93. Hoping to get something in the mail to scratch the itch a bit tomorrow but it certainly isn't a GEC.

It has been raining all day today so I was unable to do my typical photo shoot. I had to be resigned to try some pictures in an indoor environment. I kept my carry simple.

Not being a fixed blade person normally, I hadn’t known of the Redmeadows until you posted yours lately. They’re beautifully made knives. :thumbsup: And apparently hard to obtain, based on what I’m finding out. ;) That’s a great photo of your Waynorth Lambsfoot buddy! :cool: :thumbsup:

Thanks for the Osage compliment Dylan! The #47 Viper was one of the knives that first attracted me to GEC. If I get ambitious in the next few days I’ll do some photos comparing the #93 and #47. I’m experiencing some of the rain and high winds myself this morning. My power has went off and back on already this morning. :)

Hope everyone is keeping well, and staying safe :) :thumbsup:
