What Whisky/ Cognac?

Yes, you have experienced a taste... and a smell, and a color, and a feeling. And you will have physical responses, emotional responses, and intellectual responses to those sensations. And that's the beauty of it. You've had the "whole body scotch experience."

There's a whole vocabulary that the "experts" use to describe scotch. You can deal with that later. For now, just enjoy the experience naturally as it comes and don't worry about having the "right" words. Just put it in your own words.

I am afraid as a whole I did not enjoy it. Perhaps because I seem to have a cold which means runny nose and my nose seems stuffed, and perhaps because my stomach was completely empty when I decided to do this.
It seems like you only need a very little bit of scotch for the sipping though. I will definitley give this stuff a try another night, if not, I can always try one of the other suggestions. It could be I do not have a taste for scotch/whiskey yet.

I think I'm going to skip Cognac as my dad has a couple bottles of Remy Martin VSOP anyway, and get a armagnac. The De Montal VSOP looks decent, especially for the price.
I was reading, apparently Armagnac has health benefits (debatable?)

Thinking of getting a bottle of balvenie 12 year old doublewood and APPLETON ESTATE EXTRA rum, what do you guys think.
