I remember those old dialup modems. I also remember my roommate getting a brand new US Robotics modem. "Wow... it's so fast! 16.8kbps!"

*** US Robotics was also the name of the company in the 2004 movie adaptation of Asimov's 'I, Robot'. I remember thinking, "Hey... I haven't heard of those guys in a while".
