What's been your most impressive knife

To me an impressive knife has to have proven itself over time. I have a few that includes a CR Project II which has done over 20 years of use; and I'm impressed with my recent Skrama, but that I haven't had long enough. So I'll put this Boye Cobalt knife up. It shouldn't have lasted so long as there isn't much too it, but its survived through everything. I bought a spare that is still awaiting its turn.

If your take on impressive is big and bad with quality to match then it would have to be my Filicietti:

Just big and bad then for me my Blackjack Marauder II (this is a replacement for one stolen).

I think that a knife can be impressive in more ways than one. Workmanship, design, materials, etc.

I would have to say that my most impressive knives have been some of my least expensive. First would be the old CRKT Prowler designed by Peter Marzitelli. Only AUS 6 but a very well thought out knife. In some ways I prefer it over my Benchmade Griptilian or Volli.

Second would be Kershaw's US Zing designed by RJ Martin. It uses Sandvik 14C28n steel. There are lots of small things I don't care for about the Zing but when I look at the knife as a whole package, it really shines. There is a reason that it gets more pocket time than other blade I own.

Neither blade is very costly. I would rank both of them among my budget knives but, the ergonomics and design of each are nicely done.

I talked about my most surprising budgetr blade before, but I forgot the non-budget one. Of all the folders I've bought, the one that overpassed all my expectations, in all aspects, was the Pacific Salt.

It was better, more versatile, and overall greater than any of my other folders, including the more expensive and all the more budget ones.

It's been in my pocket everyday since, complimenting any other SAK/Multitool/Folder/Fixed Blade that I carry that day. As of today, it's yet to be kicked out of my EDC system!

The HARNDS Nyx I got was the smoothes, nicest and most capable of the EDC Folders I bought and carried last year, in relation to its price.

. . .

Incredible value, sorry to Chinese haters but It's smoother than any Kershaw I've had, stronger than my KaBar and Ontario folders, sharper out of the box than knives costing ten times more, and all for less than $20

I don't understand why Harnds hasn't had a higher profile on forums or just in general. I have a Harnds Viper, which IIRC has a 9Cr17MoV blade, flat grind and one of my favorite G10 handles. All in all, it's a very useful design - I take it on hikes - and awesome bang for the buck.

Most impressive, and unexpectedly so, has been my Kerhaw One Ton. It was one of the first knives I ever bought for dedicated EDC use, mainly because I wanted something thin and light without sacrificing tip strength. It has cut numerous zip ties and cables (some quite thick) without losing its factory edge. The only reason I don't carry it more is because I've accumulated a rotation and sometimes may not carry a particular knife more than once every few weeks.

I have to add a knife that I didn't include in the video mostly because of price and availability I picked up a Reate Valkyrie thinking that I wasn't crazy about it but could at least trade or sell it because of it's high value. Then I made the mistake of opening holding and using it. Totally outstanding which you know if you've watched my review.

It will be my GTC Stampede SLT. The workmanship, innovation and design are the best that I have so far.
