What's the deal with Northwoods Knives

Speaking of single-bladed Northwoods knives, bring back the Esky Zulu!

I really am fairy new to the gec/northwoods party as well and just learned the secret handshake and club dance that is the required method of hoping to be able to buy one when they all come out. Missed out on the Appaloosa 54's but hoping to score at least one 38

I thought the Appaloosa ones were northwoods offerings but after you posted I checked and stand corrected thanks!

I think a few of the red jigged bone DLT trading SFO 54's might still be available.. fyi -

Something to consider if you are interested in the pattern.

Didn't really like the two blade version, and by the time I saw the other Appaloosa ones they were already gone. I gotta start being quicker on the ones I like

Possible or confused with another post comparing the 38 with the Hawthorne.

So just a quick recap. The Northwoods knives are pretty well all made by GEC for said dealer. They're made with scale materials and blade shapes that aren't in normal production and in much lower quantities so they're harder to find. I'd say their desirability and scarcity is verging on death spiral .

They're made by Great Eastern Cutlery for KSF. Other companies have made them for KSF in the past. Regardless, they're made in small batches, and typically not repeated (or at all?). That means there's a very limited amount, and often sell out very quickly.
I know late to the party on this conversation but I just found out about these and did a search. I’m dabbling into slippies and really liked these. Signed up for updates on KSF and will be on lookout on secondary. Thanks y’all.
