I agree completely. I ordered two of the 2018 Blade Forums Traditional pocketknives, a highly customized Buck 301 with elk handles. One had the bark you normally expect to see on an antler made handle but the other was smooth like yours. Funny thing is, from pictures and from handling Sambar Stag, I thought I only liked gnarly stag and didn't care for smooth antler handles - that was until I owned one - I fell in love with the smooth elk - looks and feels like mastodon to me, I love mine, which has a tiny bit of color but is quite smooth. OH

I guess I’m the owner of another 510 since the seller don’t care he told me to keep the knife and he will give me a full refund. I couldn’t do him like that unless he sent me some other brand, LoL. I rather had another 515 . View attachment 1455149

I've got one of those aluminum handled Buck's with the 110 blade (Buck 111), but I have never seen the 500 series with those handles. Very cool. OH

I have had this 110 Slim Pro for about 3 weeks and it is an experience. I am an old school guy, use to the 110 as a pocket knife, all the brass and wood and weight speak to my soul so i am not a one hand open and close, light as a feather pocket clip kind of guy. Willing to try new stuff.

I like the build quality of the 110 Slim Pro I received. The blade is just beautiful, had to get use to the thumb stud so far forward on the blade, but it is fairly easy opening. I carry it every day with my 110, 345 and a SAK as I like 3 or 4 blades with me at all times. I have carried at least 1 pocket knife with me everyday since being a Cub Scout.

I like what Buck has done with the Slim Pro, I don't think it will replace my 110 for me, but I think there is definitely a place for it in the market. I am growing to love it and count on it as another implement in my choice of EDC.

The knife is tight toleranced all around and that I like a lot. It needs to be broken in just like classic Bucks. Excellent piece of kit from Buck.

don't remember a blue 110 version in the pro. is it the black g10 and pic lighting is confusing me or is it blue? pretty darn nice there. glad you're enjoying it.

Camera phone needs a white balance adjustment, it is indeed the black G10 looking blue, lol. Indeed am enjoying it, problem is the S30V and the blade shape are spoiling me. I was fine with the 420HC with Bos heat treat for years, now I crave the S30V.

gotcha. this is one Buck should make. almost looks like a goldish/brassish coating on blade and blue g10 in the pic.

yep the s30v while kinda old now in other brands, is still a great steel. Buck does a great job with it. its hard not to like it as a user especially in this knife.

glad to see someone else liking the modern twists of one handed opening and pocket clips besides myself here.:)
