What's your newest Buck knife

Buck still had a few of these available when I checked a few weeks ago. Nice sturdy Ranger with an attractive wood and good steel.

Just got this in the mail today. It's a beauty. I started collecting knives too late and missed out on these things back when they came out new.

Here's another one I missed out on. There are about 8 of these in the series and 2 special releases from SMKW on the 112 and 110. Wish I had the whole set but only have a couple.

Here's another one - nice mailings day today. Buck had a lot of nice special editions in 2007, this was one of them. I'm not a big fan of gold etching on the blade but, c'mon, it's a cheetah! The palmwood was a perfect choice because it also is reminiscent of the cheetah pattern. Not a Buck knife but Cheetah is a Case XX pattern, here's one in jigged buffalo horn.

Got this 2004 Special yesterday.
She was a bit of a mess when I got it, but cleaned up very well.
Lots of dirt/grit and a bit of staining on the blade.
The factory edge angles were all over the place like a mad dog's breakfast.
Diamond plates at 20 degrees per side sorted that out, 250grit, then 600.
Some small battle scars on the handle and pommel, but I will leave those.

I want to share with you two customs I picked up on Facebook. The first is from the new n/s, drop point 110s. KBM Knife Works replaced the handle with Impala Jigged Buffalo Horn and worked the bolster, spine, and blade. I love buffalo horn. Also, collect Case XX with buffalo horn. Some people don't like it because the jigging makes it a little frayed and a different color. The second is from Leroy Remer. It is a bare head sheep horn handle with a little gold web jasper inlay. I love how the red G10 spacer shines through the translucent parts of the horn and gives it a reddish tone.

Arrived today. First is a walnut 111 with a tumbled finish drop-point blade. Nice design almost satisfied by the current 110 n/s offerings. Second is a cherrywood 212 that was etch-signed by CJ Buck for his President's Tour. I'm beginning to really like 212s. This is only my third one but I see a lot of nice ones out there. I wouldn't mind seeing a BOTM 212.

110 from 1991 I just got yesterday.
Nice full blade which I lightly sharpened to bring the edge back to shaving sharp.
Blade has some light scratches on the sides from use.
I polished the brass only to remove fingerprints, but they still show a few very small nicks and scratches.
Ebony scales were a bit dry, Lanolin fixed that, as well as freeing up the action which was a bit stiff.
Lockup is rock solid with no blade play.
Came with the green pouch I'm told is from a Buck M9 Bayonet.

I made this pouch today to carry my 110.
