I used 80, 120, 220, 400 grits then some white compound on a leather strip.
I used white because thats all I had, there’s probably some better stuff but Im still learning. Then I dipped it in boiled linseed oil. Then after 20 minutes I wiped it dry. And then I hit it with the leather and compound one more time. All by hand no machines on the grits or polish. I did use a 80 grit belt on my kalamazoo to shape it though.
If anyone knows a better compound please let me know.
