Which CPK are you carrying today?

Isn't she so, so pretty? Look at that golden hue! I can't believe that they would do themselves like this!

Funny story about this one: my buddy Justin (Fournier) sold this to me way back and ever since regretted it. I felt so badly that sold it back to him for the same $ I had originally rendered. While in my ownership for the first time, the ECAM scales developed those darker spots around the fasteners because I pretty much leave my CPKs in their leather sheaths which is a can-not-do deal for certain folks who leave in certain less friendly climates. Anyhoo, poor Justin just could not get over the darker spots so he sold it back to me for the second time, after he took the scales off and gave them a thorough bath with Dawn liquid and shyte like that!

I mean I am OCD, but JF is on an entirely different level of OCD!!! Nathan ought to know what I'm talking about, don't ya Boss? ! ;)

That thing is way too shiny.

OGFK's just get better looking as the years go by. Thanks for sharing the history on this one. That ECAM looks mighty fine to 99.9% of us. Hang on to that one.

Apologies for my recent shameless self promotion (not!) as I have been posting old photos (trying miserably to catch up to Chip's number of "likes" which will never, ever happen!). I have pretty much packed up all of my current CPK loot but having gained recent access to my old Imgur pics, once in a while I find share worthy pics which have already been posted in this sub many moons ago. Since we have so many newer stallions in here not named Blues, I thought that reposting them will only show what an artist Nathan & Co are, despite Nathan's proclivities to cringe at such notion.

Nathan/Jo put together a really kickass Behemother for me back when:

This pic below was my first ever worthy collection line up which I was so proud of those many years ago. Alas over half of these are now gone to newer homes (namely Marc's in some form or other!). Of course I have substituted these in many folds by other fancy CPKs but there was a certain charm to my first collection which I nostalgically miss:

It's a pity that Nathan said he'd never make those rubber inlay scales again.

Of all the chopper scales I've tried (AECM, Terotuf, Ebonite etc.), these are my favorite. They not only look fantastic, the grip, and feel while swinging my Behemother, is amazing.

I agree Max, I had an extra set which I foolishly sold off a while ago :( To Nathan's credit, he really only did those rubber inlayed scales for Jonny's KoD appearance and his then Behemoth, so maybe he had decided to make an extra dozen or so to make the effort worth their while?

OT: I was trying to think the logic behind that collection and it dawned on me it was when I had scored 2 of each CPK patterns back when with the exception of the lone Behemother (prototype) which is in the middle. I think that one went to Byron back in 2018ish when I received the preordered one which I posted the photo of.

…I love and hate you !!! It’s very emotionally confusing, really. 😂😂😂

Boy do I agree with this. I traded my rubber inlay scales away simply because I thought that ECAM looked prettier on my BC. Sometimes, vanity wins out over common sense. 🤪

The dagger scales I traded for are gorgeous and rare. However, after drooling over them for a while, I switched to the grippier stock micarta boot dagger scales. Common sense prevailed !
