Which Hen & Rooster to buy?

Sorry, what you have is a knife made by either Kissing Krane or Boker, both fine makers but NOT in a class with the Bertram GMBH workers prior to the Summer of 1980. This was made after that. Bertram never used the round h&r inlay or the word cutlery or cut until after 1980 when Frost aquired the trademark.

Thanks for the info. Now I'm going to try to find telltale things to lead to which one, KK or boker. any thoughts? I would think Boker as Kissing Krane has more collector imbellishment.
 
Boker always make higher class knives than KKYou just have to study those made before 1980 because I suspect that Boker has for some period made KK knives as well
 
The stamp is "rostfrei", i.e., "rust proof". We'd call it stainless.
