I dress very lightly every day -1st generation plain blade Endura with clip removed. I carry a plain edge Police Model in my carry on luggage carrier for school books and the same in a dance shoe bag (along with a flashlight and a Leatherman tool). The nearest knife in the car is an Endura in a material belt case placed under the floormat.
