Who still carries a Case Knife?

April 2025...

...or the month I became a Case fan.

I picked up these three in the past month. Most of Case's patterns don't interest me, but this experience has taught me that there is no need to hesitate if something catches my eye.

Excellent choices! I recognize the swayback and stockman, of course, but what is the other one? I really like the color, jigging, shield, and appears to be a Wharncliffe blade.

That one is the Case/Bose Norfolk, a gem of a knife.

Now the edge bevels were quite knarley needing them redone so I used a Worksharp for the job to put an even convex edge and now it’s very sharp

Had a couple pocket knives on today's walk, Case Medium Jack in synthetic orange was one of the two. Not to hot, yet, mesquite is starting to green, did just shy of 4 miles today.

I prefer mesquite in my smoker. I spent a few years in Arizona as a young man and learned to love the smell of burning mesquite.

My friend Josh does. Josh and his wife Jessica ranch nearby. He has me clean em up and sharpen them once in a while. I recently did five knives for him, two were Case's. He doesn't like me cleaning em up too much, just enough to be able to sharpen them again easily.
