Off Topic Why design knives requiring special tools for pivot /fasteners ?

it's harrassment. I won't buy your harrassment knife. Go harrass someone else jackanape.

It also makes it more difficult for cloners and counterfeiters to copy their knives. But I'm more inclined to think the main reason is uniqueness and tamper proofing (warranty voiding).
