Win a free Talonite (r) knife contest

I should win because my wife doesn't let me buy anymore knives. I really need a new knife and the only way to get one is to be given one

I should win this knife because I am having trouble keeping that pesky stubble off of my left arm.

No knife knut is really more deserving than the next knife knut, so why not just enter in all the handles of the people who responded to this thread, and hold a drawing. Then the winner's reason for why he should recieve the knife could be carved in stone, haha.

I should get the Talonite Genises just because talonite is cool, and I'm just such a nice guy!

I should win because a shiny new Talonite knife would improve my chance to find a cure for cancer, save our children, end world hunger, make the Postal Service more efficient, brighten the lives of the elderly, improve gas mileage, get a high score on Turok 2, spend more time with my family, brew a better glass of beer, design faster computers, and hide unsightly wrinkles.

Besides, I've never won anything cool before.

I need to win because I`ve totally blown my knife budget for the year yet I still feel this emptiness that can only be cured with the addition of a Talonite Genesis to my meager collection. Please help me.

never a dull moment

Why should I have it? Because I can write a nice poem about it, quite simply. Here's a rough draft:
Talonite, for some it's fright
To have a knife with more than steel's might.
Like children playing I can see
An EDI Talon for me.
This poem sucks, this I know,
But these contests are tough so I must have a go.

I should win because I am a sore looser.
P.S. Crumple my entry so I have a better chance

The reason that I think I shoould win is that I would like to test out a Talonite blade so that I can decide whether or not to try it out in my "genre" or metals I use in knife making. Thanks for the chance.

Brett, if you can make the Postal Service more efficient I'll buy one for you. Be that as it may, I should win because I'm a mailman and THEY won't let us carry guns (or knives for that matter). Besides, I want it and I want it NOW>

Just throwing my name into the pot. Can't come up with anything good right now, but reserve the right to dazzle you in the future.

BTW, Thanks for having the contest, Says a lot about your company.

Perhaps I should win since the only other thing I ever won in my life were Sea Monkeys as a birthday party door prize when I was a child, and my family ate them.

Talonite, Yeah baby. Groovy. Shagadelic, baby. Give it to me and I'll quite the cheap imitation of Austin Powers.

Thank you,
Damon

The 2 reasons I should win is because

1. Like Yek, I'm on a roll. I just won 2 things also. But I bet Yek didn't win a 357 Magnum

.

2. I'll never be able to afford better for the next few years.

Also, I'd like to tell you why one other person should win.

I think that James Mattis should win because he has always answered everyone's knife questions in the IRC chatroom.

Sincerely,
Adam

Self improvement is a hobby of mine :).

I should get the knives. I have a three year old son, and another on the way. Due in September. I usually buy two of every knife I purchase. I want to leave my sons something when I pass on. I love my sons very much. If we dont make a stand now, they might not be able to get knives when they get older. It seems as though I am destined to get these knives. Since there are two of them now. One for each of my boys.

I feel that I should win the pair of EDI Genesis' since I am now living in New Zealand far away from any decent knife dealers. The Talonite one would be the perfect birthday present for my wife, nicer still than the Spydie Wegner she carries. Yes, she likes knives, especially solid ones like the ones EDI makes. The ATS-34 one could be saved for my son. He has shown great discernment regarding knives since he was young - at age 3, reaching for the custom Brian Tighe and Bob Terzuolla pieces and ignoring the United Cutlery stuff on display at a knife store.

Remember, the family that carries knives together stays together.

Tom,

I feel that I should be presented with a free Genesis Talonite knife by Carbide Processors because I took your post on KFC last year to heart with action and my own wallet. I was not a recipient of any of the free Talonite you parceled out to makers. I bought mine and convinced two makers to try their hand at making fixed knives out of your Talonite at my expense. I was excited about the prospects but was prepared to write things off if the material didn't prove viable. To make a long story short, the makers, Rob Simonich and Trace Rinaldi made me a pair of great knives in Talonite: the Wambli and Chimera. And Rob was so impressed that he too put his money on the line and became your exclusive distributor of Talonite to the cutlery industry.

So for taking up your initial query about whether Talonite would make a good knife blade material, proactively finding out with what is arguably the first Talonite knife made period, and continuing to sing the praises of the material ever since, I don't think a little "presento" from Carbide-Processors is out of line at all

There you have it! My unabashed plea.
