Wood Inlay pics?

I'm interested in the wood inlay Sebenzas but can't find nice pictures of the wood inlay choices. I've been to the site and have seen some samples but they are not marked as to the type of wood (and I think it is missing one of the choices). Does anybody know where I can get a good look at the wood inlay samples used in these knives?

Thanks,
jj

Anne,

Thanks for the reply, but you didn't answer my original question...maybe because I am assuming that I have a choice in the type of wood I get for the inlay. I did look at the web site again and upon closer reading the answer might be there but I wanted to make sure. In the description of these knives and the inlays it says that you cannot make special orders for the inlays...does that mean I don't get a choice in the type of wood, for instance, I can't say that I want Spalted Maple for the inlay, or does it mean that I can't make a request to have a better grade/grain on the type I choose, that is, I can't say that I want the best grade of Spalted Maple that I can get?

Sure would like a choice in the wood type if I pay $660. If I do have a choice, I still can't tell on the web site which scale is Spalted Maple, California Buckeye, etc. Although there are some pretty pictures of the scales.

Thanks again,
jj

Somehow I managed to over look this and didn't want you to think that I was ignoring you! JJ - what we mean is that you can't just select any wood. We make the inlays according to whatever exceptional pieces of stabilized wood that we get. It might be easier if you called and we could let you know what is in the pipeline or if you gave us some indication of what it is that you would like. To the best of my information, you don't have a knife on order yet so if you want to pursue this, perhaps it would be best to talk direct!

Thank you Anne. I wasn't offended. I figured that the post just got overlooked. Thanks again.

You are correct, I don't have a knife on order. I bought my first Sebenza this summer and have purchased 2 more. I really like these knives, pure function and quality. Now I want one of those pretty ones: function, quality AND good looks!
