Hey all... Thought you could use some eye candy. The forum has been a little slow with pictures uploads so I wanted to give you some HI porn.

Here are my HI's divided up by Workers and Fighters. I know that many of these khuks can pull double duty but here is how I feel they are best used.

Let me know if you have any questions so I can answer them.

I hope you enjoyed the pictures. I know pretty much any of these kukris can fill the worker or fighter jobs in tandem. This is my take on their uses. Let me know if you liked them and what your take on workers and fighters are.

Nice collection gb! Im afraid to put all my Khuks out together again. The missus might make me sell some of them. Lachhu do make some killer fullers!!!

LoL - This thread made me revisit my HI stash. I counted 33 pieces. Mostly workers though. Soon I'll need an extra set of arms to move the crate.

Really Nice stuff here.... I have a question. It "appears" that a lot of your "workers" are very similar In length and weight. Why so many "similar models ? just a friendly question. I am still deciding on my Gelbu special type blade,I want a Light one ! Thanks !!!

I started to say compare it to a womans......................
Danger Will Robinson.....

Pick your most favoritist thing in the whole wide world. Keep that in your head.

Now you get one of those favorite things, it only makes sense you get one you want em all.

So it is with Khuks. Heck I just came here for a visit as recommended and "warned" by a friend.

Now if there was a most wanted khukri addict wanted list I'd probably be in the top 50.

Maybe so, maybe so. My pile is modest compared to many others but the burning desire burns deeply in my soul. Well it would if I had a soul. I think I got a soul but can't be sure ya know. I mean how do ya know?

I think it is do to their portability and use. The fighters are a bit longer to "reach out and touch" someone. I can deal with all sorts of sorts of lengths when it comes to fighters depending on where I am using in, ie... inside small rooms or hallways, open field of battle, ect.

I prefer my workers to be between 16-18 inches which may seem a small size gap. The smaller (sub 15oz) khuks don't have the mass for chopping and you end up working harder. The longer/heavier ones while having more mass for better blows can tire you out very quickly. Now I know it only takes one swing for a 20in 45oz AK monster to split a log, but carrying that around all day can be tedious. On the other hand a 16-18 inch blade @ around 20-30oz is just up my alley. I know others may like bigger or smaller ones, but I find my perfect size workers falls between those numbers.

The pictures are kind of deceiving... the 15in AK is ALOT smaller that the rest of them but it was the closest to the camera so it appears a lot bigger. The grip and blade are much smaller and its very portable @ 23oz. The Dhar handled DBVUK is really a BEAST its the third worker down. It looks the same size as the KLUVK but it dwarfs it when held next to it. A couple inches is noticeable in the hand (that's what she said :p).

My WWII is really a multi fighter and tool, it was my first HI so I wanted a general use khuk and it fit the bill perfect. The same can be said for the Dui Chirra, I am sure its a great worker but the curved handle and belly just scream fighter to me.

I always wondered what "burns in your soul". Is that what that smell is when you let one loose? :D;) I had no idea souls smelt like carrots and throw up.
Love ya bro!

Post some pictures snowwolf... love to see them.

Here's the partial set. Sorry for poor quality:

I found few more little ones fooling in the house, about 5 pieces are missing because stored closer to the forest where I used them. And few others in the mail.
So I guess I'm getting closer to 45.

That was fun sno! You got some really unique ones! Is that a Thamar Dui Chirra in the middle of the first pic. Just lower left of center. Hanshee looking. Sure looks longer than my Yek Chirra. Maybe just some spherical aberrations going on in my brain but sure is khul!

Wow Snow! Thank you very much for sharing that, it's awesome to see what types of HI's others are drawn to. I am both impressed and humbled, I can't wait to have a collection as diverse as yours. One blade at a time I guess, I need to win the lottery but it hasn't happened yet haha... it's always some ancient antiqued old woman that wins the 30 million dollars. Why oh why can't it be me lol? The money part not the old woman thing...

Impressive group, sno.

I'll just leave this here...
