Woud you say this is a decent finish on my BOSS?

Hey everybody, up above are pics of my Snody BOSS Menace from the first batch he did last year. I see BOSS Menace getting better and better with different finishes, damascus and I especially love his ghost logo on the blade...and different color paracord handles and etc. I noticed that a lot of other BOSS Menaces have very clean satin or bead blasted finish to them (or just cleaner finish overall) but as you can see...mine has that floral colors on it (I guess from the heat treat?). I didn't care when I received the knife because I just love his Menace knives but now that I see more and more pictures of other BOSS Menaces...I'm beginning to wonder if mine is an ugly duckling. I even left a note to Snody when I paid PayPal to "send me a GOODLOOKING PIECE OF STEEL." Does anybody have a similar Menace as mine or am I the only one with heat treat marks? It's still new by the way.

i HAD one i wouldnt say was like that.... it had a fully re-heat treated edge as was signed by mike on the card... said was 1-of-a-kind...
the whole edge of mine was WAY more rainbowed... i think tuffthumbz or gavkoo have it now ???
mine had the red and black jap wrap and i thought it looked awesome

jdthesaint is right, it looks like part of the early batches that were hand rubbed prior to heat treat so they ended up with rainbowed accents as seen on your blade. So your blade actually has a higher level of finish compared to those that have pure heat treat scale or media peened finishes. Congrats!!

Well...it's kind of pretty but kind of messy so I keep going back and forth on love&dislike. But I really like the knife in general. Thx a lot~

I have a similar finish on the back of my Menace Boss, that's why Mike was able to sell these at such a low price point. I really like mine, although the later batches (especially the blue paracord wrapped version) were much better finish-wise.

I completely agree with OldBoy on the price point statement. A "better" finish is all dependent upon what you as a collector like. Plus that finish makes it a one of a kind piece. If your not happy with it I will gladly take it off your hands !!
