Would You Like a Regrind

Can you do a compound grind on a tanto blade? Something like the new spyderco? I've got a project in mind

Email me at the address in my signature and we can discuss it.
I am not familiar with the new Spyderco though, but so long as it has a short grind I am pretty sure it can be done.

Hello Chris!

I got recently a Microtech Socom Elite with black coated tanto blade.

Although beautiful as it is, I was wondering if you could regrind the blade? Maybe remove tanto point from belly and make it a regular drop point. Perhaps regrind the shoulder (on left side -- it is chiesel grind), I want to remove black coating as much as possible.

Also, the clip is not strong, there is a small gap between pocket clip end and the handle. But I don't know if you have bits.

Thank you very much!

I'm interested in a regrind for a microtech socom as well. Mine is similar to Augostos.
Thanks,
Rick

I am sure we can work something out.

Do you reshape blades too?For instance: straightening out a recurve or turning a tanto into a drop point?

Here is a reground CRK I did not too long ago.

This was reground with my 36" radius platen. The edge was at .007" at the shoulder after sharpening.

Using the radius platen is a bit more tedious and time consuming so there is a slight increase in price over a flat grind.

Hey Chris,

Do you think you could turn a combo edged spyderco dodo into a stout wharncliffe?

Yes, but be aware that you will be losing blade height to get rid of the serrations.

Very nice. Might be interested in having a tops BOB knife reground/thinned and lop the exposed tang off at the butt. I'm going to play with it a little more in the coming week, but I'll probably end up contacting you and see what can be done.

Sounds good. When you decide please email me so we can work out the details.

Another Emerson and Sebenza done recently

An Emerson Horseman that was reground and had the swedge extended

A CRK Sebenza 21 that was reground with my radius platen

The pictures were taken before the final sharpening (due to fading light conditions) hence the burr on the Emerson and no secondary bevel on the Sebenza.
