New Knife Day! Got a Case full congress 74052 SS. Basing everything off of GEC quality standard this knife holds up very well. Knife is 3 9/16 closed. Action on all 4 blades is good, around a 6 on the feel-o-meter with half-stops. Blade edges are uniform and sharp. Nicely figured ebony covers fit tightly without gaps and blend well with pinched? bolsters with no sharp edges. Pins are all flush with no recessed pins which I prefer. No gaps in springs or liners. Things that could be a little better: one main blade nick is tough to get too, a fingernail will catch the edges of the springs so maybe they could be a little smoother, 2 springs aren’t flush on open with one recessed and one proud and the shield isn't pinned. I’d have left this one without a shield but that’s me. Might get blade rub on a blade from forcing one small blade into another while opening it. I was attracted to this one because of the blade diversity, where a lot of congress knives are just 2 pairs of the same blades, large and small. I was also surprised by the 4 springs, assumed it would just be 2 shared springs. Really nice knife. Now to find a Winchester and GEC.

Having won Barrett's fabulous giveaway for the one-of-a-kind GL-24 in Cranberry Relish jigged bone, I had to sit nervously through the weekend turmoil of hurricane Helene as the package was delayed. It finally arrived (and I at last breathed easy!) yesterday, and here are the pics.

Fresh out of the tube and mail box This absolutely Beautiful TPK SFO Indian Head Gec#32 Red Pearl acrylic. Wonderful fit and finish and sharpest Gec I’ve ever had out of tube. Dont know if it was luck of the draw or if Austin gave the edge some love lol but wow it’s sharp !

This one arrived yesterday. It's a 10cm Fontenille Pataud Capuchadou with a maple burl handle. It is just about perfect, in my opinion. I just happen to have a nice belt sheath for it. Gotta love the BF Exchange.

This looks very nice  How strong is the spring on these? I was looking at their website and they have some really nice knives, I would love to have one in the future. Thank you for broadening my horizons ;)

Thanks. The knife can be pinched open. On a scale of 1 to 10, with 10 being a nail breaker and 5 being similar to a Victorinox, it's about a 6 or so.
I also have a Laguiole and 5 Coqs from Fontenille Pataud, both lockbacks. They are all excellent knives. I hope that helped.
