Your newest addition:traditionals of course!

The Mexican Bowie is new. The Buck 119 is for scale.
It would have had horn handle inserts that will have been eaten by worms.

I had many cunning and artful thoughts about handle inserts, but I wound up using some steel stick epoxy putty I already had. Cheap and easy is who I am.

I'll tape and sand it a bit when it's fully cured.

It will fit perfectly in a Mark II Navy sheath.

These 2 came today. Believe it or not I've never had a douk douk. And after my experience with the Montpellier friction folder I got this Capucin to go with it.

Very tasteful. Douk-Douk is an odd and very satisfying knife, so simple and so effective, I have two of them both the small 9cm variant, 1 carbon like yours and an all stainless one Sandvik 14c28n which is horribly sharp :D Plus these help keep the evil eye 👁️ off

I bought these two from another knife enthusiast on local fb group. The "junki" (Finnish term for a pen knife) came without a sheath. Original Helle sheath is also not to my taste, so the sheath workshop is up and running.

Dateline: About a week or so back, but still my most recent arrival.

I'm a sucker for an old fishing knife in even half decent condition. So, after spotting this Colonial, I was able to work the price down to a comfortable level for my wallet. The next thing I knew, it was resting with a few others on the Fish Knife display shelf in my basement. I'll get around to cleaning it up someday.

Nothing of any real monetary value on my shelf, but I do have some priceless memories that are stirred when I visit the area. Most of the knives shown are knives I grew up with or have used throughout my adult life. Some are simply reminders of what may have rested in my tackle box at some stage of my life, be it childhood or adult.

So many good times with my brothers in our youth. May they both rest in peace.
