If you had a fellow BF member over for dinner, which FIVE knives would you bring out to show them over cigars and bourbon?
Mine would be:
1. Busse Basic #7
2. Lynn Griffith Tracker
3. Neil Blackwood Small Game
4. REKAT Carnivour
5. Alex Daniels hunter (to be replaced by Lynn Griffith Patrolman once it arrives!)

Just Five? Alright...
  • Chris Reeve Decorated Sebenza
  • Lynn Griffith Marksman
  • Joe Pardue Warncliffe
  • Darrel Ralph Apogee
  • Speedtech Synergy Sweptpoint #20

Hi all,
This sounds like fun, my lineup would be as follows:

Most Interesting blade- Jens Anso "Oden's Eye" Damasteel Drop Point with Amboina Burl.

Favorite Scales- R.O.Easler Loveless style Drop Point with GORGEOUS Stag and Mosaic pins.

Favorite File Work- Keith Coleman Damascus w/Stag and "Vine Pattern" file work along the spine and tapered tang.

First "Custom"- 9" Damascus Fighter with Mammoth Ivory by D.H.C. (Unknown to me)

Favorite Pair- Matched Damasteel with Mammoth pair that Jens Anso is in the process of making now. (OK, I cheated...a pair is actually 2 knives. Sorry, couldn't resist.)

Regards,
Brian

Well, I don't have that many knives, so my top five would pretty much be all that I have.

I'd bring my Elishewitz Janus, and Benchmade Nimravus, 710, 905, and 800.

Yeah! Drop the chalupa...

I guess I would start with my Stag display, not very impressive, but it's start.
CS Trail Master
Parker Edwards 5" lockback, Damascus blade
Case stockman damascus blabes
J. Russell & Co, Barlow and Grand Daddy Barlow (actually my favorite stag piece)

Next I start adding Customs. Soon, soon, soon.

Brian,
Where can I see Easler's work? You just rang my bell when you mentioned the Stag scales.

Mini-SOCOM
Trailmaster/stag
BM 705
Boker Applegate Fairbairn fixed
Puma White Hunter/stag (30 yrs old next Summer)

Oh boy...I love these types of threads. Ok, here goes
1. Ed Fowler Proghorn
2. Griffith Sniper
3. Lamey "Mutha" a huge camp knife
4. Gleason Hunter
5. Sebenza

The Fowler would be my main sheath knife, the Sniper my neck knife, the Lamey my big boy, the Gleason is my back up and of course the 'Benza is the folder.

Lynn, what is the difference between the Sniper and the Marksman?

Thanks,

Greg,
Every time you mention that Pronghorn you make me smile. Because I know that a great knife by a great maker has a great home with the right man, and that knife will have a great future, with that great kid of yours.
You make my day, thanks.

Stop when you get to bone.

Hmm.... Good question. The ones I like to show off most have to be:

1. Lynn Griffith Patrolman

2. DeLeon Bowie

3. Folts Mantis

Actually I dont have many friends who really like a fine knife. Lynn Griffith is a friend though, and I did take the above knives for him to see when I got my patrolman. I really enjoyed getting to show them off to him. Geez, I will be so glad when I am able to get one of his knives again, the red handles would be just too cool. Doh! Im babbling again.

Damn Les!!
He said bring out to enjoy with C-gars and bourbon..... Not have the Brinks truck deliver!! Actually, I would enjoy those knives without the cigars and bourbon!!
Mine would be:
1. OLD Randall #1, Lots of history.
2. The first double edge I made so everyone could inspect and critique the grind lines.
3. Newer Randall #1
4. Lynn Griffith Sniper and Marksman (counts as a set)
5. Both of my Commanders so everyone could play with deploying them out of their pockets(counts as one knife because they are the same and everyone will want a turn)
Neil
PS good thread Paul!!Thanks for the mentions guys, I realy appreciate it!

Hi PhilL,
I don't think R.O.Easler has a website, but I can email you the one picture that I have. As usual, the picture does not do the knife justice. I have several knives with Stag scales, but I think this one is by far the best.
Regards,
Brian
