New video by KnifeHQ (BladeHQ) introducing the new ZT SHOT Show 2014 knives:

562 for me too. Although I am getting tired with framelocks. One side is CF, another isn't. Having both sides CF and Axis lock on that, that'd be a knife :)

Now if Emerson would give ZT permission to reproduce an exact copy of the CQC8 but with M390 steel I would be a very very happy camper. And yes I know it won't actually happen :(. But I can dream :)

In case some think that Zero Tolerance is not at the top of its game with design, innovation, manufacturing prowess, etc. remember that they have taken the top honor at the annual Blade Show with the "Overall Knife of the Year" award the past three consecutive years:

  • 2013: Zero Tolerance 0454
  • 2012: Zero Tolerance 0888
  • 2011: Zero Tolerance 0777

Even if I weren't a huge ZT fan, I think that should be 'enough said'. Correct me if I'm mistaken; but aren't those that do the voting on this the other knife makers at the show? And if so, what does that say?

Those awards are kind of meaningless when none of these knives are for sale.

"We made these amazing knives! Nope we don't want your money."

I'm really glad to hear that the 620CF is a production model.

Me too. Same with 0562CF.

I think ZT has decided to give you great steel and CF without spending too much manufacturing time and thus extra cost. The CF has very little in terms of the expensive and time-consuming milling that went into each of the 0777 series handles.

Consider that the 0562CF will have a street price of around $240. That matches up directly and feature-wise against the excellent Spyderco Southard (high-quality Taichung piece). 0562CF gets an edge due to CF instead of G-10. The blade steels match up very well: M390 vs. CTS-204P. Hopefully, the 0562CF weighs only 4-5 ounces.

I really like that knife. I'm in line.

These are the kinds of comments are why KAI isn't apart of these boards anymore. This is untrue..as well. The 777s...other than the Damascus version were very obtainable. Maybe not for the MAP price of $380. The 888 yeah pretty limited but got put on a list in last slot for an 888MAX about three months ago. That's six or seven months after they announced the dealers. All it took was one mail to one dealer near the top of the list. Granted I might not get the MAX now because I'm last on the list and they only produced half of the projected amount. I did snag an S110v one though. And for the 0454, I think it to early to assume anything yet. They will be produced and those who really want them...will get one. Maybe not for the price they wanna pay...but the opportunity will be there.

I'm not really getting much any Emerson vibe from the collab knife.
Sure it has a wave and thumb disk but Id like to see more Emerson
personality. A Emerson makers stamp on the front with ZT on the back
would have been a nice touch. I know chisel grinds are not that favored
but that's what make Emerson unique. And wish they would have used a
popular Emerson designed pattern like the mini CQC-8(horseman) or
mini commander, CQC-7, etc.

Is Hinderer a big dude? He designs handles that feel great..but the whole thing is just too dam big to actually EDC. The 560BW is the most aesthetically pleasing and ergo sharp to come along in years, but it's about 3/4 to 1 inch to large overall. So is this new 562. The 566 is close, but it doesn't have the textures of the 560. SMH.

Doesn't appear to be, but his knives are designed for harder use type tasks.

The 0620 blade is virtually identical to the new Emerson ETAK B.

The ZT 0562 and 0620 are about the same size so it's not a Hinderer or Emerson thing.

Also, ZT 0562 and Spyderco Southard are about the same size with the Southard being about a quarter of an inch shorter when closed. Blade length and thickness are almost identical. Don't know about the overall width and weight for comparison.

I prefer a noncoated blade and I'm not a fan of the 0620's handle grooves. So looks like I'll be going with the CF version after all. But it's nice to see this new collab, and the affordable Kershaw versions aren't too shabby either.

I don't like the skeletonized head of the tomahawk. Not sure what its street price will be, but there are a lot of competitors at its MAP, some of them being custom hawks.

Anyone hear what quarter these are going to be available in? Specifically the 0562 and 0180. Eh no love for the 0180?!
