Not sure why we are hiding the actual numbers but I'll play along. Mines ultra rare. The only one with it's number.
I have a 0452cf, purchased like a year ago, serial number is like 22,000. I believe they are both closing in on 30,000. At least the 0562. 0452 if I had to guess is around 25k.I'm kinda curious how high the 0452CF's and 0562CF's have gone. Anybody wanna sound off on those?
That’s a lot of 0450cfs around in this world lolI bought a 0450cf at Bass Pro a couple months ago. Ser.37530
Agreed. Only relevance would be if manufacturing changed at some point, heat treat issues, etc.I'm a collector and the #'s on knives make absolutely no difference to me.
I will not pay more for low numbers or less for high numbers. In fact, I prefer knives w/no numbers on them at all because it creates a false impression of scarcity. The 0450 is not scarce, regardless of the # on it.
A #1 on the knife wouldn't matter to me either because there's nothing unique about the knife beyond that. If I wanted an 0450 (and I've owned/sold a few), I'd rather buy another one for the going market price rather than the inflated value that the seller think it's worth because it's #1.
The # on a knife should matter even less to some one who "uses" and who does not "collect" knives.
BTW, I use to collect "limited edition" litographs and my opinion about the #'s on those is the same as my opinion about the #'s on knives.
