Vik, the big'n used a 1" hole saw with a 3/4" end cap. Worked ok, but a pain to drill and/or file the end cap.
Medium is a 7/8" hole saw with 3/4" pipe. This was just about ideal.
Small is 3/4" hole saw with 1/2" connector pipe (diameter of end cap). This was a bit loose because the hole saw went wobbly around the pilot. Will have to resolve that. I didn't want a 1/4" pilot so decisions (mistakes?) were made.
I spun the little one by hand against the grinder instead of chucking it into the corded drill.
That's a 6" ruler on the right.
Played with a BK2 today in the shop Took it in for a little weight reduction. I believe I shaved about 2oz off. I removed the hammer pommel, added a high flat grind, fullers, stripped it, and cold blued it. Still a BEAST of a blade but more svelt No real reason to mod other than I could so I did
