Nice find! I hadn't seen that before. Interesting lock. The design is such that even if the locking components were to wear, the lock wedge would engage further and the lock would remain tight!
The one Guy posted references another in 2016, so there's more than one.

The lock I thought of is in fact an improved axis lock, as the failure by liner deformation under extreme pressure is eliminate by the addition of a insert which doubles as the stop pin.
The blade length is 3.5’’ or maybe 4’’ for size referrence.
One primary goal of this design is minimizing the leverage disadvantage introduced buy the ricasso or none-sharpened-nor-grippable-length between the handle and the edge, to maximize cutting ability.
