2009 Fishing Season PIC Thread

Here are some pics from a fishing trip in july. We camped at the coast at Van Damm State Park. Killed the fish on kayaks. We caught the fish primarily on about 5", 2oz swimbaits, like a Fishtrap.

Beautiful picture. There is something primal about Yak fishing. Even if its plastic. Nothing like paddling up to a beach that your wife and kid are playing on, with a boat full of fish and such.

My wife wouldn't let me be comunicating w/ you if she knew you were to blame for my new need for a OK Prowler 15. Have you seen the new rod hatch? Soon it will be mine.

Here are a few of my catches from this summer at a local lake called Powder Creek. Didn't take a ton of pictures, but I did catch a few quality fish. Been trying to learn to fish for the cats this summer, been having some pretty good success. Here are the highlights of the summer:

A surprise from the lake. This eye went just a smidge over 22 inches!

We fished Tioga Lake, in the Eastern Sierra of California last week. It was a wide open trout bite. The senery was awsome too! Also got to see some nice Tule Elk bulls.

GA is home, but Louisiana is temporary home. The crabs are from a rainy day here in Louisiana. In hindsight, shouldn't have piled the crabs on top of the beer that I was trying to drink. Hands were pretty sore by the time I got drunk.

Here's a couple from this year on Great Bear Lake...

I can't beat George. He got this feller in July. 84lbs. Poor Verna, a local chum, can barely hold 'im up...

My biggest this summer... About 25 lbs.

That mountain trout fishing looks like wonderful. Id like to do that someday. What do you trout men prefer , stream or a lake?
