I just wrapped everything, next I will straighten up the wraps and epoxy them with West System.

Can't wait!! I'll have a pair of Fairly green ray skin wraps when mine gets here. They're going to look great together.
 
Great to hear!

...especially because the photos make them look really bad! I was tired when I posted them and just snapped the shots with bad lighting... my wife was like "I wouldn't post those, the knives don't even look like that!" I told her the guys would be really excited to see them in hand, lol!!!

The acid wash looks killer in person and seems to resist or hide scratching very well, I'm already planning on getting a bigger tumbler.

They are all soaked in epoxy and hopefully tomorrow I can get to sheaths when they are fully cured. :cool:

Most likely, there are so many traditional variations that I want to try. I tried one with a traditional yokote (dividing line at tip) and it looked killer.

I like the flat to convex grind on these A2 tantos, I also do a kata-kiri-ba grind and an American style grind.


American Tanto Grind- I love these! They are deceptively difficult to grind.

They are coming up very soon, I'm about to order the D2! I have a small new batch profiled and the are next. :cool: I can't wait! :D

I am always making them. I can do skateboard grip tape or cord instead of the rayskin.

Next month - D2 tantos!

Here you go! I have video! :D

I think I can get D3, it is a British version of D2 in some ways... I like the formula of D2 better. D3 has slightly better wear resistance at a higher hardness but either way I'm going to temper to 60-61.

lots of knives going on there, sweet!

bears... we have cougars and bobcats.. bears are rare here.. I've seen 3 cougars and 3 or 4 bobcats.. deer daily, turkeys all the time too, and yes right out my back door. edge of town is neato.. nature boy! ciao!

Sure is! The glow on that one is just killer too!

Sounds cool, we have the most wildlife near town as well. The other night I counted 30 deer in the bank parking lot! Fun stuff...

OK my baby watching duties are now done, time to go grind! She is getting so cute it is outta control!
