BKT REINHARDT KUKRI EFFINGHAM, ILLINOIS U.S.A. ?

Sorry for waking the dead here, but I just scored one of these off eBay and was wondering if anybody can tell me who actually produced these? Was Becker making them himself or were they subbed out? Is that why Blackjack is mentioned?

The original blackjack in Effingham IL made bkt knives for E. After they folded, Camillus made them for him. Now Kabar has the license to produce his designs

Hasn't arrived yet. It has the sandblasted finish and BK&T marking, Effingham Illinois. (No Kabar markings) and leather sheath.
Seller was an estate buyer and had no info.
 
the japanese made one is the shiznit... amazing, great weight...

that one is based on the OG one that Hank Reinhardt had as his personal custom (he was famous :>)...

this wife was at bladeshow one year and had that knife and the very slick sheath with her. wowza. have a picture of that somewhere, possibly in the Database

might dig it up if motivated
