Hey Bill, welcome on the links! I'm looking forward to seeing some photos and motorcycle vids posted here from you now:D

Sweet,

Here is a video done by the previous owner of the weird Cossack/sidecar in England. Note the rabbit running across the field at the end. This is 9.95MB. Is there any way to compress videos to make them easier to load?

http://www.badongo.com/vid.php?file=Cossack+video__2005-12-14_Dnepr+Vid.mpg

I need to take few vids myself.

Hey Bill, very cool bike, sounded good too...run rabbit! You do any pics of vids yet?

Our family digital is a Canon powershot A95. 5 megapixel. Small compact, takes excellent pics. They have improved it and the new model is the Canon powershot A610, better lens and bigger lcd on back. I think it runs around $350.00 maybe less?

i'll post a pic in a minute....
I have an A95 as well. It's a nice little camera.

Sony cybershot DSC - S70 3.3 mp. Clunky but tough. Does not bounce.

Sony DSC-S75 and DSC-S85 here. 3.3 and 4.3 Mpix respectively. Brent is absolutely right; clunky but tough. Can't complain about them in the least. Proprietary batteries last for a couple hours of hard use.

Pic of 30 Rockefeller Plaza (the GE Building, home of NBC's New York operations) in Midtown Manhattan taken 10 Nov 05 with the DSC-S85:

These were shot at 1280x960 resolution and reduced to 600 wide proportional for posting in forums.

Wife and youngest are each getting a Canon SD400 from me for Christmas.

Just ordered an Olympus Stylus 500 as a backup camera. 5mp and a 1 gb card.

Easily fits in a pocket. Looks pretty rugged. Wanted something I can take anywhere. This is supposed to be water resistant. Could be submerged for 30 minutes at a depth of about 5 feet and still work according to factory specs, but not recommended.

Ought to withstand getting caught in the rain, that's all I care about. Would get an UW housing if I was diving. You plan for the diving, but often the rain is out of your control!

5mp is plenty for me. Only has an lcd screen on the back and no optical viewfinder.

Closeup functions down to 7cm. Don't like the fixed aperture, but the rest seems ok.

Anybody have one of these?

Awesome pix, T.Erd! Bravo!

These are proof that it's not 100% the camera that takes terrific photos. The operator has to recognize the subject potential and compose the shot.

Bravo!
