Ahhh, that HK P7! A few years back I nearly bought one, but it was significantly overpriced by the shop selling it. I was at this particular shop using the range. They are well known for overpricing everything. They actually have the balls to sell knives well over MSRP.

Ended up buying the Steyr, which I will take some pictures of tomorrow.

Still want a P7. Something about saying "squeeze cocker" out loud...

Loved the m9a1, the sights are fantastic! Trying to find a compact model locally now.

Every man should have at least one one-off knife and rifle built for himself. I did so on a M1903 Steyr Mannlicher-Schonauer.

The 6.5X54mm is an excellent cartridge with its exceptional sectional density and ballistic coefficient.

For $80 when I lived in Hawaii in the 1990s I rescued this Steyr M1903 Mannlicher-Schonauer (6.5X54mm MS) action from a fool who was going to try to modify it for 7.62X39mm. By 2000 I had a custom gun built on it. Action is from 1909. Barrel is from a custom Krieger blank with 0.0012" freebore and a 1 in 12" twist rate to handle 180 grain bullet. The Walnut stock is hand carved and inlet from a blank a I got from Missouri.

Excellent work. I have a warm spot in my heart for the M-S. They are heirloom quality rifles from a different era.

I wish the trapezoidal sights were available in tritium...Alas only three dots.
