Got this pretty thing coming... my design sketches combined with Darrins personal input yielded this.

Kizlyar Supreme "Maximus" came yesterday.

D2 steel and G10, am really impressed by the quality of this knife.

Yesterday, Friday, the big brown truck left two Cold Steel sax machetes at my door. They were both 18" blades, but as they were seconds, I had plans to cut at least one of them down to 12". Turns out one of them was perfect, without the warped blade that was advertised. That one stays 18". The other, however, was a bit warped so I removed the offending section and it's a shorter 12". These are still available at about $8.00 each, so I'll be getting another couple to modify and give away to friends. Maybe a Bladeforum giveaway?

The CS sax machete is a bit thicker and heavier than the Latin machete series they offer. It's discontinued, which is a shame because it's a heavy chopper and promises both a real brush cutter and an emergency tool for cutting kindling or even self-defense. The full tang is obvious when you hold it and the grip is rubbery and non-slip. I used them both today to take down brush behind my barn and split up some old 2x6s that need to go. I can't say they keep an edge very long, but they are easy to sharpen up. The shorty will come along more often, but both are ready when I need to get my Anglo-Saxon on. And I don't own any other machete, so it was time I added that tool to my kit.

I just purchased a ZT-0620CF which the seller/owner had the edge re-profiled (no more tanto).
I'm looking for a custom Ti. anno'd clip to replace the default ZT clip, anyone know of any sources that makes a clip for these?

These six were the sellers pictures, will shoot my own when the knife arrives next week.

Wow! I never had any interest in the 0620 until seeing this post. I just reprofiled a tanto fixed blade like this and I love it. This might be my next project...

Cool 'chrispy513'.... hearing your experience with your re-profiling of your tanto makes me look forward to it arriving next week even more.

Couple of Buck 110's - the 50th Anniversary editions:

I like 'em enough that I ordered a bunch more to give as X-mas gifts this year... should be cool.

I normally don't believe in regrinds whatsoever, but that reprofiled ZT 0620 is nice. Would be great if they offered a factory variant with a spanto.
