More Forumite Stats - - - Hand Size

Dan, If my measurement seems off. it's because I have Arthritis, and I can't "Open Wide".

A= 2 3/4
B= 3 5/16
C= 3 5/16
D= 2 1/4
E= 1 1/2

ANG1 - If you can.....use a piece of paper or soft cardboard and curve it along your fingers/hand and mark it that way. The most important number, though, is "E". (second most important seems to be "B")

(regarding evaluating handle fitment comparisons)

Or just "guesstimate" how much it might be off. Don't want to through the chart off too much.

Whoever suggested we make a chart out of this - that's a great idea. But time I ain't got.....

Would anybody be willing to help out on it?
(input the numbers into Excel or a database)

Dan,
My left hand is just slightly better than my right.
If these measurments are too far off, just don't use them.

A= 2 1/4
B= 3 1/2
C= 3 1/2
D= 4
E= 1 1/2

A - 2.375
B - 4.0
C - 3.0
D - 4.0
E - 1.75

Does the Gov't have access to this ... :(

I never opened this thread before. I must have though it was about estimating schlong length or some such.

Here are my stats:

a 3.0
b 3.5
c 3.75
d 4.25
e 1.75

Oops! :footinmou I didn't catch the whole "hand" thing. I'll have to take some more measurements.

Deleted due to too much green beer.

I'm on it, give me a day or two.

Average palm width: 3.79
Average palm length: 4.32
Average finger: 3.31
Average grip diameter*: 1.8

New spanking power champ! Hamon slaps down Josh Feltman!

*From available data

I have all of the data in Excel now, so throw out ideas for how to organize it into charts. I'll play with it again later.

Can you plug my stats in? Dan hasn't updated his area listing...

I think we have a normal distribution here, so what would tell something in this case is: mean of smallest ten - mean all - mean of largest ten, atleast in grip length (width of palm) I think those would show the required range. Or maybe smallest-largest five but anyway one needs a way to filter out the outliers.

Largest = yeti size
Smallest = Hanuman size

TLM

Nasty, you're in there. I couldn't get everyone's name to show up on the chart, it would be about 5 screens wide. You're between Josh and Hamon in area.

How about this, RR....

Do you know how to do a distribution chart using points?

Example:

Take any two measurements - (I would most like to see "E" and "B" - the most relevant to grip, IMHO) - and plot them as points (not as a line).

"E" might be the vertical axis, and "B" as the horizontal axis.

For example - my stats would generate the point (3.875, 1.563)
(using 'B,E' as the 'x,y' coordinates)

No names would be included...just raw data.

Up for the task?
