No i didn't mean the jerk it towards the guy. It was meant for the menacing part. Sorry about that i'll fix it
 
Woodbeefarmer.....re read mine....there is no law stating it is not legal, of course a LEO can interpet it as a weapon, but legally it is OK by the NYS penal law....not sure if you haveany county restrictions, but I don't think so. As a former LEO who is a knife collector, I never met a LEo who truly understood the knife laws since they are so vague....
