Official Monster Nessie List

JTR in my conversation with Dan at the time I ordered my knife I ordered and paid for a sheath for it as well. Dan had said that he could either make a kydex rig in-house or he could get a leather one done from one of several people.
If this is no longer the case than I need to see some money making it's way back into my pocket.
I would'nt count on the 3V's being done this month as the 5160's were due to be done in March and they're not done yet.
 
I will be happy to make a kydex drop loop sheath. It will be better than nothing, but not as nice as a leather sheath. I believe JRE has a sheath for me - I'll ask them again. I just can't make any 100% promises yet. But there is stuff in the works.

what about the time line? Can I expect to use a monster nessie for camping this year:confused:?
 
Yep - I am finishing 2 per week right now.

I haven't updated the list - will do it this weekend.

Dan as I said in my other post I have already paid you for a leather sheath, even paid $20.00 extra to have it made horizontal carry. What can we do in this situation? If you'd rather communicate via e-mail let me know, but, I haven't had any success getting a response from you using e-mail.

I've started the next round of glue-up on the Monster Nessie 5160 list.

Mark W - Ironwood + brass pins = PIF
Slim S - Ironwood = PIF
Ron D (farseeker) - BCM = PD
James W - BCM + leather sheath - PIF
Jeff P - GCM + horiz leather sheath - PIF
Walt K - NCM + leather QD sheath - PD 200

I anticipate having these done by mid-late June.

Good news, guys - I now have a leather sheathmaker on board. Pricing will have to be adjusted - but shouldn't be much more.

As of today (5/31/2010)
$110 for standard sheath (deep pouch with retention strap)
Add $20 for Quickdraw sheath
Add $50 for tooling
Add $20 for Black
Add $20 for horizontal carry straps.

That's the best I could negotiate. A steal, actually considering I have paid as much as $290 for a tooled leather sheath for a knife this size from more popular makers.

Horizontal sheath - not a problem, waveman.

Dan,put me down for a quick draw,right hand sheath.Add it on to my(ever increasing:eek:) bill.

So far I'm at +upgrade to cocobolo from NM,+QD RH sheath,+shipping.($345.paid for 3V MN)

I'm still on target for August 2010 completion on the 3V Monster Nessies...probably more likely the end of August, though.

Hey Dan,

I'd like to get on the Interested List for a Monster Nessie in 3V with Green Canvas Micarta. How should I proceed from here? I can PIF in a couple of weeks. I may be interested in a sheath as well, but I'll have to see how big the Ol' bonus check is when it comes...

I am interested in a 3V, undecided on the handle mat'l. at this time. Please advise if this is a problem
