I resemble that remark.

Could it be that the 950 was a tad too beefy for the 940 folks, and never made too much of a splash in the BM world?

Personally, to me the 940 is too much of a slender slab handle type of knife, and does not index well, while the 950 ticks all the boxes. I finally found one NIB at a decent price.
