Thanks, Joe !
Folks went wild and classy with Paul's sheaths for these Knights.

Now for something a little out side the box. This was the wife's idea. She likes to carry a small fixed blade but most of the time doesn't wear a belt. We are ranchers so she does use a knife on a daily basis. She came up with this idea for a beltless sheath and then we kind of ran with it. About 8 prototypes later we finally got the pattern dialed in.

Looks like this when she's in the saddle.

What a cool idea, Dave. It looks like it really fits her kit well.

Maybe a dumb question but I won't know if I don't ask. :)
Is Jeremy Guillaume 8ball ?

Doug

Thanks guys. Been selling quite a few of those. Seems to have found a niche. Works well over a belt too. Then very easy to take your knife on and off.

I just added the knife and the back of the sheath, Kevin. :)

A couple of favorites that Nita has done for me are these. The sub hilt fighter has a python inlay in the window. The second sheath was for an Art Deco style sub hilt I made, and has cowhide with shark.

I remember that one..Spalted Sycamore ?
I remember because it reminded me of some Curly Oak.
Very nice work. :)

Doug

Doug, yep Spalted Sycamore from Burl Source. Thanks.

Thanks Paul. Those are some very kind words coming from the master himself. It was your explanation that taught me how to secure that D ring. Thanks again!

^^^ Thank you Roger. Thank you, PAUL.

Paul's work is legendary, yet we rarely see the backsides, and even more rare, the sides.

I wanted to show (again) just how clean Paul's work is and how importantly his work can elevate a maker's piece.

Props.

Roger, that wood looks incredible! I can tell from the photo what it does.

What is it?? The color looks much different from crushed koa.

Jon

pretty certain that is Koa ...

there is a wide range of color and figure in Koa depending on what island it is from, whether it is from root area vs limb vs trunk etc

Sheath complements it beautifully though

Roger,

The sharkskin looks great, Congrats !
And on the surprise inside.
