Update on John

Both of my surgeons have cute nurse practitioners. I always ask my wife if she is jealous of them flirting with me (just kidding, they are not). She always tells me to keep dreaming!

Got the news this morning, there is currently no trace of cancer in me! They might remove the drain tube tonight and I might go home tomorrow. Thank you for all your prayers.

Wonderful news. Now I will start pray that you remain cancer free.

With the tube removed I am in a little less pain each day. I can only eat soft foods for at least a few weeks, but I can deal with that.

Had a follow up appointment with my surgeons yesterday. I found out that they removed about 5” of esophagus and about 4” of stomach, along with 32 lymph nodes. All came back from pathology negative for cancer. My next appointment with them is in August. I go see my oncologist Friday.
