What folders are the Beckerheads carrying?

I too owe a debt to USA Made Blade for a similar folder, which has become my go-to carry since Blade Show.

I also owe Murph for this one, and here's why...

At Blade, I was sitting in The Pit with the TM Hunt, Becker, etc. folks. Murph came up and asked if I had an Instagram account. USA Made Blade was doing a giveaway, and the first step was to follow the business on Instagram. I actually do have an account, but I couldn't recall the login info (still can't), so up came the App Store, and in about five minutes, I had a new Instagram account registered. Please note that I did all this about fourteen sheets to the wind, so I give myself some credit for even being able to navigate technology at that point.

Next step was to go over to Whitty, show him the screen, and then draw from some cards that he fanned out. There were two cards left according to Murph's initial report. Four cards in reality. But 1 in 4 is still pretty good odds, right? I drew a card, glanced at the back, and reported a loss. I was expecting a picture of the knife or something. Again... fourteen sheets to the wind.

"Does it have a number on it?" Murph asked.

"Yeah."

"You won."

How about that? It's a fantastic blade with the grippy G-10 that I love in Kershaw and Spyderco knives. Now, I proudly carry a ZT with the same kind of scales.

Now I want one....which I'll prolly have to get off the exchange as Murph is unlikely to give up his and he won't let me have his Akribis that he's not even using......

I've recently been looking at the Spyderco Roadie, and even though I'm definitely getting one, I was thinking... 'hmm, what about a single bladed SAK?'. So I was looking at sheepsfoot knives from Victorinox and settled with the Victorinox that goes by many names: florist, floral knife, gardener, blumenmesser,... It's part of their Ecoline. I've been pretty impressed with it. It's chisel ground, brass pins, super lightweight yet pretty sturdy because of the aluminum liners. I'll let the picture do some of the talking:

For under 20, it's a steal. The sheepsfoot comes in very handy and it disappears in the pocket. Not the best handle to blade ratio, imo, but the longer handle does give some real estate to hold on to, and the smaller blade is terrific for detailed work. Big love for this blade that seems to fly very low under the radar.

I've got the same single-blade Victorinox. Great little knife for backpacking. Lightweight.

Well then, seems like I'm not the only one. I just don't see it on the Web that often so u assumed it was a bit underestimated.

Ka-chow. Great little knife. I think I picked mine up at Sierra Trading ages ago.

I've also got the single blade Alox version.

Thanks! I thought you were saying that was also a florist knife with a sheepsfoot blade in a alox base. Sorry for misunderstanding. That would be something I'd buy asap though, sheepsfoot single bladed alox victorinox. Oh my. Will be buying the alox solo you're showing me too though, probably.

Many favorites here.
In my younger days I carried a Buck 110 daily and used it much.
SAKs have just about always been part of my kit and these days I'm rarely without one - even though I typically also carry a multi-tool (Leatherman mostly) but while I have and carry and use other folders from the Sebenza to RATs and AUS8 Voyagers, I am mostly rocking an Emerson, though not always. Among them the CQC-8 series, Horseman, Regular and Super are my favorites. Just picked up this user 8 ... like I need another!!??!:confused::cool:
