Your thoughts on Protech Malibu?

I have about half a dozen different MagnaCut folders. They all have issues except for the Malibu. It's one of the best folders I have.

It’s a good knife but not an excellent slicer
That is compensated by some good ergonomics and a nice construction
You know I'm glad I'm not the only one that noticed this. The more I use it, the more I see it's a pretty thick lead in to the edge.

That said, because it is so lightweight I don't mind.

I had one for all of a few minutes before deciding that it wasn't for me. Too small, too expensive, and too poorly ground for cutting. The Mordax is just better IMO, especially if it gets a hollow regrind.

My experience is much the same. Very well made, flips effortlessly. As a cutting instrument it’s mediocre, due to the thick stock and shallow grind. The button lock mechanism gets gunked up easily when doing dirty work and is hard to clean.
