No expert, but over time, I’ve learned enough (the hard way) to avoid game players. I don’t sell often, but when I do, I craft my posts to weed out the players. I always include words to the effect of my reserving the right to sell to whomever. When the red flags start appearing, I politely close the encounter. I rarely profit from the sale, and happy to break even, while fair pricing and covering fees and shipping. And strictly Goods&Services. This either results in quicker sales or I simply withdraw the sales thread. I hate to leave my threads fester. So if the potential buyer can’t follow simple directions, or dawdles, or has questions, ad nauseum, I just move on.
