119 Special Historical Collectors Set

Sorry to bump an old thread, but this one was linked from a current discussion.

I like the original blue version shape and the guard on the 61-81 the best. Releasing a modern version with the blue handle would be a hit. Member FortyTwoBlades recommended a blue handle for high visibility, like when dropped in the woods.
 
Now that I am looking at the set, something isn't adding up. I purchased this 119 either late 1978 or early 1979; I know that I had it in my possession during the summer of 1979. Yet it does not look like the 1961-1981 knife in the set, it looks like the 1981-2017 knife in that set.
