2021 GEC #15 Urban Jack Photo Thread

I've already alluded to the fact that if opportunity struck, I would likely try and land one. Opportunity has struck and I was able to secure one in micarta - I have no clue how I was able to get so lucky (right time, right place, I think). I would much prefer the green bone as that looks like a nice rich color but we will see how the cards get dealt later on.

This is a strange knife and it makes it real easy for me to poke fun at hipsters but from a collector's standpoint, it is an interesting offering from GEC and since I missed out on the B&S knives, I will at least get to check this one out.

I figured I would stick these pictures over here too.

Love the blade, green micarta, and the lanyard hole. Wish they had stopped right there. Hate the comb, maybe I can pick one up used down the road and get a porch member to perform a combectomy on it. Good luck to everyone trying to get one!

I'm certain GEC are verifying shipping addresses : strictly urban areas only ;):D

Jesting over, it will be interesting to see some pictures in time.

I'm not opposed to the comb in of itself, call me what you will, I'm opposed to the image and demographic this is seemingly directed towards. 99% of "hipsters" I've seen are such phony snowflakes trying to ACT manly and then bluster and then cower in the presence of real men. Then have the gall to cry about "toxic masculinity". Boys who spend $500 on a pair of jeans with fake grease stains on it trying to look like some Hollywood image of a 40's hotrod mechanic. I have no time for such foolishness or things that cater to it, which is sad in a way as I actually like the knife comb and all. Maybe I should try to score one,but I'd sand that stupid looking etch off and dremel the words out of the shield.

I love that green jigged bone. But as someone with a beard- not a fan of using a metal comb- was an easy pass for me.

I am with you, no apologies!

I am so far from a hipster in age and ideology it's not funny, the blade etch does nothing for me but patina will take care of that. The shield I like and I would use the comb on my goatee like I have with the B&S. I like it and will grab if I can but I'm not going to camp out for one:thumbsup:

I just wouldn’t use the comb, I had one of the beer and sausage but traded it away in part because of the weak spring on the comb I wasn’t going to use. Jigging and color on those was great though.
