April 2023 Buck of the Month Granadillo Handled Brass Bolster 113 Skinner w/ S45VN Blade

Whew, able to let this one pass. I am not a hunter, and already have a lot of amazing EDC fixed blades in this size range that I'd reach for over this 113 due to having much better sheathes for the way I carry. I know these will make their new owners happy, however!
 
It's a nice knife, but nothing too far from custom options.

Now if this was in green canvas micarta, with a kydex sheath? And maybe a little cheaper... I'd be all over it. Always wondered why there's really no synthetics in the grip options (outside the Spitfire) or polymer sheaths, because I think the 113 could be a great EDC fixed blade.
 
i ordered one. They only made 500 so I think they figured they could get 500 people to get one at that price. There are 381 left so it looks like they will be around for a while. I ordered a custom one with buffalo handle and nickel bolster about a month ago for $192. So Don W's assertion that it's paying about $30-40 more from S30V to S45VN is right on. I don't have anything with Granadillo wood but then again here in Michigan we have another name for it: wood.

Buck thought they could sell 1000 of last months BOTM and as of a minute ago they still had 149 in stock. I predict these will be slow movers too. Currently 375 of this months offering still in stock at this moment

Yeah, last month's was very weak though. It was just another version of the 1000s of versions you could already get at the Custom Shop. At least for this month, there are only 54 versions you could get. But I agree that it is not a strong candidate. I am yearning for one of those that sell out in one hour (and hoping I get in on it) - like the February 2023 one.

Beautiful BOTM 113, but I'm going to pass again. Buck has a real problem--the original 113 with ebony is hard to beat as far as fit/finish and beauty.

I'm still waiting for BOTM's in the 300 series and the Vantage line.

By the way, I just received my new Alpha Scout Pro. WOW! GET THIS! It's outstanding in every way. A hunting knife that is an easy EDC option as well.
