yeah it would have been but i originally took the pic to tease mrs. shotgunner about the only thing she needed for her orange esee ar15. course now she has that sweet orange hilted junglas that she could tape on with black tape.

That would be great for a bayonet charge on feral hogs. After a six pack to a make it seem like a good idea, of course.

I see a bunch a neigh-sayers on mounting a bayonet to an M-4 / M-16. In the recent Iraq invasion there were a lot of Marines who had theirs locked on. I don't believe the bayonet will ever die within the Marine Corps as it can be such a life saver and taker. Doing MOUT operations, clearing a city house to house, if your clearing a house, your weapon jams or runs out of ammo that bayonet could swiftly save your butt!!! Personally I wouldn't run through a MOUT operation without one locked on my M-4.
By the way you just don't run around like a tool with it on all the time. You Strap it on when the mission or area you'll be heading into might dictate it.
