B&M stores in the NY area?

Thanks for that. Do you happen to know if there are any easy public transport options to get there from Manhattan? Have browsed the area usibg Google maps, and can't really see anything. Thanks!

Best bet is a bus, or maybe an Uber. Cutlery Mania is right off of RT. 46 West in Fairfield NJ, and is a straight shot from Manhattan. Take Rt. 3 West to RT. 46 West straight into Fairfield, and you're there. About a 20 minute ride, and well worth it. I'd even go so far as to say that whatever you buy they will ship it out for you direct from the shop if you don't want to travel with it. I've bought dozens of knives from them, and they never disappoint. Great shop.
Edit: I'll sweeten the deal.......If you can get just over the border into Jersey I'll pick you up, and give you a lift there, and back. Free of charge. Its really not that far. If that sounds cool leave me a message and we can take it from there.

Thanks so much for the info and the offer. I might go and look up what busses pass by, and see how it goes. It certainly sounds like a great place to shop!

Mastersmiths's seems to be gone.

Paragon at Union Square.

Here was a look at Paragon's knife counter to give you an idea, it changes a lot -

Korin is interesting for Chef and kitchen goods -

Westpfal might be worth a look if close, just because it's one of NY's last remaining cutlery places -

J B Prince has some decent Chef knives, and nice kitchenware -

Those are the only places in the city proper that might be of interest to knife people, minus museums, etc.....
