Absolutely! People talk about Sheffield, Derby, Nottingham or London for ale and pubs but IMHO York excels over all of them :thumbsup: Every time I walk back to the railway station I ask myself why I ever moved away from York :rolleyes:
And despite York being north of England's biggest tourist magnet the beer is still cheaper than the pubs in the Peak District, or Manchester or Cheshire :rolleyes:

Yes, I agree Donn, and it really is hard to go wrong in York :) I have booked a hotel there for my birthday weekend, just so I can enjoy a night out there :) :thumbsup:
